Abstract

Serial killers are a very interesting and striking study phenomenon for researchers and specialists. In this case, the main objective of this study was to carry out an analysis of the factors, reasons and motivations that affect and drive serial killers to commit cruel and perverse acts against other people. The research methodology responds to a type of theoretical and documentary study with a descriptive scope. Finally, it was obtained as a final conclusion that according to various studies and cases, it has been found as results that the main factors, reasons and motivations that affect and drive a serial killer are: psychopathy, sexual pleasure, childhood traumas, aberrations , perversity, for profit, pornography, drug addiction, alcohol, power and control, personality disorders, resentment and antisocial disorders, for which they have significantly influenced people both men and women to commit criminal, perverse and cruel acts before humanity causing the pain of many families
