Didactic activities on the Edmodo platform as a factor for improving reading comprehension

Abstract

The research was carried out at the Clemencia Rodríguez de Mora Educational Unit in the province of Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas. The objective of the study was to contribute to the improvement of reading comprehension through didactic activities using the Edmodo educational platform. The methodology was based on a quantitative approach, with a quasi-experimental and explanatory design, the sample was non-probabilistic and consisted of 31 students of the sixth parallel year A, selected according to their accessibility and the personal and intentional criterion of the researchers. A considerable improvement in reading comprehension was found in the students after applying the proposed didactic activities.
