Multimedia didactic blog for strengthening the learning process in the area of natural sciences

The present degree work had the general objective of improving knowledge about the contents of the environment of living beings in the area of Natural Sciences through the development of a didactic blog for students of the 8th year of the Higher Basic of the Educational Unit "Jhon F. Kennedy". The methodology used for the study was based on a quantitative approach, the type of research being explanatory, with a quasi-experimental design due to the fact that a pre-test, an intervention proposal and a post-test were carried out. The sample consisted of 22 students. The data collection instrument was the questionnaire, which served in the diagnostic evaluation and summative evaluation. A data analysis based on the techniques of descriptive statistics was presented. As a final result, it was obtained that the intervention proposal, in this case the didactic blog contributed with 30% to the development of knowledge in the contents of the environment of living beings in the area of Natural Sciences, because the average of qualifications passed from 5:00 to 8:00 according to the MINEDUC (2016) rating scale.
