Abstract

Currently, companies seek to be more competitive and efficient due to the excessive competition that exists in the automotive market, for this reason, businesses must seek solutions that provide sustainability over time, and to comply with it, it is necessary to start by having good inventory management. In the following degree work, the objective is to apply an ABC System as a tool to contribute to the improvement in the inventory management of the company Autorepuestos Pérez. In the investigation the quantitative approach predominates since financial indicators were established and, when tabulating the surveys applied to workers, clients and suppliers, the qualitative approach was also used since interviews were carried out with the Manager, the external accountant, the observation technique to make a diagnosis of the situation in which the company finds itself. After carrying out a diagnosis of inventory management, the most convenient method was selected, which, for the company, turned out to be the ABC System, which covered all the existing items in the refined master file based on Wilfredo Pareto's Law called 80-20 and, finally, the indicators that will allow measuring the impact of the implementation of the System were established. Autorepuestos Pérez during all these years in the market has never implemented a Control System for the inventory, for this reason, during this time it has had many problems that are affecting the economic sustainability of the business
