Resumen
En la presente investigación tuvo como objetivo identificar los tramos con mayor
concentración de siniestros de tránsito en el Bypass Quito-Quevedo y Bypass Quito-Chone de
acuerdo a las cifras estadísticas del año 2024 tomando en cuenta que queda en la ciudad Santo
Domingo de los Tsáchilas, presentando problemas en la alta incidencia de siniestros de tránsito.
Como metodología se utilizó enfoque tanto cuantitativo y cualitativo, se realizó encuestas a los
habitantes que viven cerca de esos tramos y entrevistas a los funcionarios especialistas sobre
el tema. Como resultados de la investigación se determinó que el año 2024 hubo 929 siniestros
de tránsito y noviembre registró el mayor número alcanzando un total de 103 siniestros.
Adicional, se identificó en el bypass Quito-Quevedo conocido como Cooperativismo un total
de 47 casos mientras que en el bypass Quito-Chone conocido como los Colonos de un total de
97 casos, dados a esos totales de los dos tramos se registraron 144siniestros; se realizó la
georreferenciación que existieron en el Bypass Quito-Quevedo en ponderación 2 puntos
críticos y 7 puntos negros, mientras que Bypass Quito-Chone se determinó 6 puntos críticos y
11 puntos negros, los habitantes como los especialistas manifestaron que el factor causante de
los siniestros de tránsito es el factor humano. Una recomendación a los habitantes para prevenir
siniestros de tránsito se comprometa a respetar las normas de tráfico para cuidar de la seguridad
vial compartida en materia de tránsito.

Abstract
The objective of this research was to identify the sections with the highest concentration of
traffic accidents in the Quito-Quevedo Bypass and Quito-Chone Bypass according to the
statistical figures for the year 2024, taking into account that they are located in the city of Santo
Domingo de los Tsáchilas, presenting problems in the high incidence of traffic accidents. As a
methodology, both quantitative and qualitative approaches were used, surveys were conducted
with the inhabitants living near these stretches and interviews were conducted with officials
specializing in the subject. As a result of the research, it was determined that in 2024 there were
929 traffic accidents and November registered the highest number, reaching a total of 103
accidents. Additionally, a total of 47 cases were identified in the Quito-Quevedo bypass known
as Cooperativismo, while in the Quito-Chone bypass known as Los Colonos a total of 97 cases
were identified, given these totals for the two stretches, 144 accidents were recorded; The
georeferencing was carried out in the Quito-Quevedo Bypass in weighting 2 critical points and
7 black spots, while the Quito-Chone Bypass was determined to have 6 critical points and 11
black spots, the inhabitants and specialists stated that the factor causing traffic accidents is the
human factor. A recommendation to the inhabitants to prevent traffic accidents is to commit to
respect the traffic rules in order to take care of the shared road safety in terms of traffic.
